Rendition - Loading Presets and Using One-Finger Chords
Learn how to load Rendition presets and play full, expressive chords using a single finger on your MIDI controller.
Using One Finger to Sound Like a Pro:
Once Rendition is set up, you can use any MIDI controller to trigger complex chords and arpeggios with a single key press. This is especially useful for producers, composers, and performers who want fast inspiration or aren’t piano virtuosos.
How to Load a Preset:
- Open Rendition’s interface.
- Click the preset dropdown in the upper left corner.
- Select a preset — in the walkthrough, we used “Hitmaker”. You can find it in the Pop -> Pop Progressions folder. Double click it to load.
- The chord mappings and arp settings will instantly load.
What Presets Include:
- Custom chord voicings
- Arpeggiator settings
- Key/scale presets
- Zone mappings
Try This:
- Play one note on your keyboard.
- Hear a fully voiced chord play from your virtual instrument.
- Use different keys to explore the full mapped range.
Presets are a great starting point. Once you're comfortable, you can begin building your own!
