Rendition - How to Use Chord Zones

Learn how to control the CHORD zones you've created, giving you full control over the harmonic output of Rendition.

Assigning Chords to Zones:

  1. Click on the C or CHORD button within the zone selector to select the zone you want to modify. If the C or CHORD button is light blue, chords are enabled for that zone.
  2. You’ll see a chord editor in the center of the screen where you can add, remove, or modify notes within the key and scale you've selected in the Key Panel on the left.
  3. Input notes manually or select from chord templates (e.g., Major, Minor, 7th, sus4, etc.).

Multiple Notes from One Key:

Each zone triggers its assigned chord when you press a key within that zone’s range.

Customize Voicings:

  • Change inversions
  • Spread notes across octaves
  • Add in extensions or tensions (like 9ths or 13ths)

Tip: You can experiment freely — this doesn’t affect your original MIDI. You’re sculpting what the output to the instrument will be.
