Rendition - How to Use Chord Zones
Learn how to control the CHORD zones you've created, giving you full control over the harmonic output of Rendition.
Assigning Chords to Zones:
- Click on the C or CHORD button within the zone selector to select the zone you want to modify. If the C or CHORD button is light blue, chords are enabled for that zone.
- You’ll see a chord editor in the center of the screen where you can add, remove, or modify notes within the key and scale you've selected in the Key Panel on the left.
- Input notes manually or select from chord templates (e.g., Major, Minor, 7th, sus4, etc.).
Multiple Notes from One Key:
Each zone triggers its assigned chord when you press a key within that zone’s range.
Customize Voicings:
- Change inversions
- Spread notes across octaves
- Add in extensions or tensions (like 9ths or 13ths)
Tip: You can experiment freely — this doesn’t affect your original MIDI. You’re sculpting what the output to the instrument will be.
