Layered - The Arpeggiator
The Arpeggiator (Arp) takes the notes you play and cycles through them in patterns.
Modes
- Up: Plays from lowest to highest note.
- Down: Plays from highest to lowest note.
- Up/Down: Alternates direction.
- Random: Picks notes at random.
- Chord: Plays full chords in rhythmic pulses.
Controls
- Rate: How fast the notes cycle (tempo-synced to DAW).
- Octave Range: Expands the pattern up or down multiple octaves.
- Hold/Latch: Keeps the pattern running even after you release the keys.
Melody Builder
The Melody Builder goes beyond simple arpeggios. It lets you create step-based sequences that can include:
- Single notes
- Intervals
- Rhythmic variations
This tool is especially useful for generating repeating motifs or melodic lines that follow your scale/key settings.
Syncing to Your DAW
Both the Arpeggiator and Melody Builder can sync to your project tempo. This ensures that your rhythmic patterns line up perfectly with your track.
Creative Uses
- Turn a static chord into a moving rhythmic texture.
- Combine Arp with Filter LFO for evolving sequences.
- Use Melody Builder to sketch quick melodic ideas during songwriting.
- Apply Hold/Latch for live performance patterns without constant playing.
