Setting Up a Midi Controller

If nothing is happening when you play notes on your midi controller, your device is probably not set up in the settings panel. Open it by clicking the Settings Gear in the upper right hand corner.

There you will see a list of all midi controllers connected to your computer. Ensure that the box to the left of the name of your controller is checked.

If you are using a DAW, ensure that the controller is active in your DAW's settings. If you are on a Mac and don't see your device in this list, it may not be properly configured in your system settings. You can learn more about configuring a midi device for use with your Mac at this link.
