How do I manually uninstall Nightfox Audio products?

Typically, you should not need to manually uninstall a Nightfox Audio product as all installation and uninstallation should happen within Nightfox HQ. However, there are some rare instances when you would want to do so, such as if you have an early version of our software and wish to upgrade to a version supported by Nightfox HQ.

Please note that if you have Nightfox HQ installed, deleting or modifying any of these files may result in poor performance, or even an unusable experience. You may want to ensure you've backed up your presets before deleting any of these directories by following these instructions.

On Mac:

• Stand Alone (including link file, presets, and settings) is located:
  • Macintosh HD/Users/<user_name>/Library/Application Support/Nightfox Audio/<product_name>
• VST3 is located:
  • Macintosh HD/Users/<user_name>/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/<product_name>.vst3
• AU is located:
  • Macintosh HD/Users/<user_name>/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/<product_name>.component
• AAX is located:
  • Macintosh HD/Library/Application Support/Avid/Audio/Plug-Ins/<product_name>.aaxplugin

On PC:

• Stand Alone (including link file, presets, and settings) is located:
  • C:/Users/<user_name>/AppData/Roaming/Nightfox Audio/<product_name>
• VST3 is located:
  • C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\Nightfox Audio\<product_name>.VST3
• AAX is located:
  • C:\Program Files\Common Files\Avid\Audio\Plug-Ins\<product_name>.
